1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how QA-REELS handles information on your device. It applies only to QA-REELS, not to the separate QuitApps blocker app. See also the QuitApps Privacy Policy.

2. Summary

QA-REELS is designed to run on your device. The shipping app does not declare an internet permission and does not upload your videos, captions, or usage data to our servers.

There is no account or login in QA-REELS v1. Counts and settings stay in encrypted local storage. Android backup for this app is disabled.

3. Information processed on-device

Reel counts — swipe / next-video transition counts for curated short-form apps, stored locally and reset at local midnight.
Usage time — time spent only for apps you enable in the Apps tab.
App selections & settings — apps you chose for counting or usage tracking, plus preferences such as session timer and overlay logo.
Accessibility signals — used only to detect curated reel surfaces and count swipes. On-device screen text may be read briefly to tell reels apart; it is not stored as captions and is not uploaded.

4. Accessibility Service

QA-REELS uses Android’s Accessibility Service solely to detect curated short-form video surfaces, count swipe / next-video transitions for today’s Reels Count, and drive the on-screen overlay while you watch.

QA-REELS does not block other apps, perform gestures for you, read your messages for storage, capture screenshots, or send accessibility data off your device.

5. Permissions

Accessibility — reel detection and swipe counting.
Display over other apps — show today’s reel count (and optional session timer).
Usage access — measure time only for apps you select.
Notifications — keep background monitoring reliable.
Ignore battery optimizations — reduce silent kills that stop counting.
Foreground service — maintain monitoring while enabled.

You grant these permissions explicitly in Android Settings and can revoke them anytime.

6. What we do not do

No account creation or login in QA-REELS v1
No advertising SDK in v1
No analytics or crash SDK that transmits personal content off-device in v1
No sale of personal data
No cloud sync of counts or selections
No upload of videos, captions, or screen recordings

7. Storage & security

Counts and selections are stored in encrypted local storage on your phone. Backup for this app is disabled.

8. Your controls & deletion

Revoke permissions in Android Settings. Clearing app storage or uninstalling QA-REELS removes the app’s local data (subject to Android behavior). Because there is no QA-REELS account, there is no cloud profile to delete on our servers for this app.

9. Children’s privacy

QA-REELS is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Third-party services

QA-REELS v1 does not integrate advertising, analytics, authentication, or crash-reporting SDKs that phone home. Google Play distribution is subject to Google’s policies.

11. International users

QA-REELS is operated from India. Core processing stays on your device; v1 does not upload app content to our servers.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
